I'm in the process of swtching over to the Paleolithic Diet. Crazy, right?
This is what this diet entails (as far as I've read):
No Grains of any kind
No Sugars of any kind
No dairy of any kind
No legumes of any kind (peanuts, beans, etc)
I will eat:
Vegetables of all kinds
Animal proteins of all kinds
Fruits in moderation (preferably berries and melons)
Nuts in moderation
Butter (especially clarified butter)
Coconut, avocado, olive oils in moderation
And I'm going to allow sweet potatoes, kay? They're not so bad. Also, Greek yogurt, kefir and hard cheeses because I can't NOT eat those.
I'm not supposed to use any added salt or sugar.
No processed or packaged food of ANY kind. No cereal, no pancakes, no bagels...
Wait, WTF? Why would I DO THIS??? Because I want to FEEL GOOD. I have trouble with my immune system due to lyme disease and mono wreaking havoc years ago. I want to see how good I can feel. Besides, I can give up these things pretty easily if I find appropriate subsitutes, right?
...Right?
